One of the most important things that you can do for your family or the people around you is to take a course in Red Cross wilderness first aid. The basics around CRP is that you are breathing for the unconscious person. You will breath for two beats and you will pump the heart for five. Before you get there however you will need to make sure that the airway is clear you will do this buy looking into the mouth, down the throat first. Do not stick your figure down there until you know that it is safe to do so. You need to remember that this person could have swallowed something sharp and you could prick your figure one it.

Once you do not see anything, you can do a second check with your figure. The way you will learn to do CPR in the Red Cross wilderness first aid course is to lift the head backwards slightly, to make sure that you have a direct path to the lungs when you breathe in the person mouth as mentioned above. You will then move onto the chest compressions as mentioned above.
